Yellowstone Trip

Made it down to Yellowstone for a least one snow storm. Was quite a chilly day with temps hovering around 0-3 above with a stiff 15-30 mph wind. Wind chills stayed around 20-30 below most of the day; We got just a little wind burnt.

My favorite shot of the day

Glacier National Park Freak

A little project I started this winter. I would download old USGS photos and stitch them together to create some unique images of Glacier Park.

Need Creative Time

My first creative passion will always be photography

Thank goodness for Pandora Radio and Netflix. Some folks don't understand how much effort and time goes into producing these rustic frames. The metal corners I use come from old rusted roofing which I cut all by hand. My dad who lives in Illinois has taken his time to find this for me and has hauled quite a bit of it out here for me. I spend a lot of time in my small usually cold workshop. I dream of the day of a large shop with vents, running water and  nice Constant heat

Branding Iron

I wanted to make sure folks know my frames are made in Montana. Most of the wood I use comes out of Idaho I've been told. I also buy all my wood at the locally owned Kenyon Nobel Lumber in Belgrade Montana. When I first started I went to the big box stores but now I buy 99% of my product at local stores.

Daniel Smith Wildlife Artist

I finally did a frame for myself. A friend of mine, Dan Smith, gave me this beautiful print of one of his painting. I did a combination of blue and orange to compliment the colors in the print.

Glacier Mural - 138" x 50" Dark Walnut Box Frame

This was a special project I did for Old Main Gallery in Bozeman. This was an old mural that once hung in The Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier Montana.
