The Echo Lake/Mount Evans Area of Colorado is where I fell in love with the Rocky Mountains. My favorite image,"Earth Angels," was taken a few miles above Summit Lake. This image was actually taken in 1989 while I attended the Colorado Institute of Art. The negative had been damaged a few years later and it sat in a safe for years. Thanks to Adobe Photoshop I was able to scan and repair the image. This image is now available as print w/mat only or framed.

Welcome to Frames by Doug Cox/Legacy of Ice Images

For over 20 years I have been photographing the Rocky Mountains. I've been lucky enough to witness some extraordinary moments in time when light and subject combined to make a unique image. Over the last few years I have added rustic picture framing to my offerings. I wanted to combine the art of picture framing with my digital art.
